Mpact Paper Recycling. Mpact Recycling is the largest paper recycler in South Africa. The recycling division is part of Mpact Limited, a well established paper and plastic packaging business in southern Africa. It has seven sites across the country, collecting approximately 450 000 tonnes of recovered paper every year. Various Paper Pickup Programmes include commercial, kerbside, schools, churches, communities, housing complexes, offices and a network of agents and dealers.
Mpact Paper Recycling. About 70% of the paper recovered is used in the production of carton board and container board, while the remaining portion is sold. The collection of recovered paper creates jobs for many South Africans, and it has a positive impact on climate change.
MPACT PAPER RECYCLING – KERBSIDE PICKUPS (House to House Collections):
- We currently collect used paper products from the kerbs outside almost 200,000 homes in Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni and Tshwane.
- Convenient and hassle-free collection service for households, offered by Mpact Recycling (formerly Mondi Recycling).
- Collections are done every week from the kerbside on scheduled Mpact paper pick-up days, which may vary from suburb to suburb.

MPACT PAPER RECYCLING – PAPER BANKS (RONNIE BANKS):
- Ronnie Banks are large, bright green containers provided by Mpact Recycling to schools, churches and community organisations that raise funds by “hosting” the bins on their premises.
- Support your local school, church or community centre by dropping off your used paper products at one of our paper banks.
- These igloo-shaped banks are placed in locations throughout the community, where anyone can deposit waste paper.
- Ronnie Banks in Doornpoort are located at the NG Kerk Doornpoort, and Doornpoort teen Misdaad – SCCF.
- Using paper banks help fund raising efforts and improve awareness while also greening the community.
