Tussen-I-Bome Oxwagon Camp. Tussen-I-Bome Guest Farm is a quaint ox wagon resort and venue located 26km from Montana, Pretoria, on the KwaMahlango / Moloto road. Nestled in the Bobbejaansberg Mountains, it offers a unique, ox wagon themed venue for weddings, conferences and functions. It is also an ideal weekend break-away for the family or with friends. We offer three self-catering oxwagon camps, as well as other self-catering units that caters for bigger groups.
Tussen-I-Bome Oxwagon Camp.Our oxwagon style venues can cater for groups up to 120 people. This is ideal for smaller weddings, conferences, team building, year-end functions, birthday parties, christenings and more. The Chalet, Bos-Lapa and Guest House can cater for smaller functions like bachelors parties, baby showers, kitchen tea’s or bachelorette parties. We offer wi-fi connections as well as TV and DSTV connection points for our guests who would like to bring their own DSTV decoder to the farm.
Tussen-I-Bome offer different options of accommodation, from our 4-6 sleeper Oxwagon Camps for the adventurous, to a Guest House with all the luxuries, a Bos Lapa and Chalet ideal for bigger groups, and the Dormitory with 10 beds located in the guest house. We are situated on the Dinokeng tourist route so there are many activities you can enjoy in the area.
Tussen-I-Bome Oxwagon Camp – Accommodation:
- The three oxwagon camps consist of a 4-horse wagon built in 1937, a trolley wagon built in 1915 and a spring wagon built in 1860.
- A side tent with 2 single beds provides accommodation for 4 people per ox wagon camp, one ox wagon camp provides for 6 people.
- Each camp has running water and flushing toilets but the rest brings back the “old days” with limited electricity giving you the opportunity to bake your own bread in the “bak-oond”, boil your own water over the fire and take a bath in a wooden barrel.
- Enjoy everything nature has to offer in its purest form.
- Included: Linen, Bedding, Firewood to get your fire started, 1 x bag of ice.
- Self Catering: Full self catering only for 3+ guests. (guest can still cater for lunch and supper)
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner options are available, please arrange prior to check-in.
- Additional ice and wood is sold on premises.

Guest House:
2 En-suite double bedrooms and additional double bedroom with 2 single beds, sleeping between 6-8 people.
Added on to the Guest House is our newly renovated dormitory, now known as the Family Unit. Private bedroom upstairs with 4 single beds in an open plan area, and below there are 2 single beds and 2 bunkbeds. This unit sleeps 12 People.
The Guest House and Family Unit can be used as one unit accommodating 20 people or as separate units.
Bos Lapa:
3 Double bedrooms and additional bunk beds to allow for 16 people to sleep comfortably.
Self-catering unit with an open plan kitchen opening up to the boma braai area.
Perfect for large families, groups of friends and even the ideal location for bachelor parties.
Included: Linen, Bedding, Firewood to get your fire started, 1 x bag of ice.
Meals: Self catering, breakfast and dinner can be arranged prior to check-in.
Chalet:
Double storey chalet, offers 2 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms below and a loft area upstairs with 4 single beds and a 3/4 bed, accommodating 9-10 people.
The open plan kitchen and dining area opens up fully to extend to the lawn under the trees, which has a boma where your can enjoy the crackling fire under the stars.
Included: Linen, Bedding, Firewood to get your fire started, 1 x bag of ice.
Self Catering: Self catering option only for 5+ guests.
Caravan & Camping:
Bush Caravan/camping area with water and electricity outlets at each of the 6 stands.
All close to the ablution block with clean showers and toilets.
The washing-up room area is also located close to the stands.
Ice and wood is sold on premises.
