Oogies is in desperate need of a loving home. He is available for adoption at the Wet Nose Animal Rescue. Oogies was having a great day at Homeless Animal Day and she’d been taken out with her friend, Burton (who has now been adopted), by two kind and loving people. She had a walk and a lot of treats and the chance to interact with humans, to feel them and to smell them.
Because, you see, Oogies is going blind so she relies on her senses of smell and touch to orient herself – and judging by the photos, she was doing just fine. It is amazing how dogs adapt and cope with their disabilities. Oogies would need to be adopted into a reasonably quiet environment without very young children. She is fine with other dogs, and in fact, it would be better for her to have another dog as company and guide.
